Bio
Painting, a space where you enter into relationship.
Giulia Lascialfari, a contemporary hybrid artist, believes every person has their own “sound of the soul”, often hard to hear in an age dominated by silicon. Her painting is born to create the space where you can hear your own sound of the soul, awakening it through colour. She works in oil and acrylic and experiments with virtual reality, creating XR experiences.
Her studies began at the art high school in Tivoli, where she graduated in Cultural Heritage; she then took a degree in Tourism at “La Sapienza” University of Rome, in the Faculty of Arts and Philosophy. After a master’s programme in regional economics at the Faculty of Economics, also in Rome, she moved to Florence, where she graduated from TheSign Comics & Arts Academy, developing a style between illustration, metaphysical art and surrealism.
Then came selection for the Leonardo da Vinci International Prize in 2020 and the Brera International Prize in 2026, and covers no. 33 and 34 of Elitism Florence & Tuscany. Today her language is moving towards abstraction, where colour becomes breath. The breath of the soul.
Her paintings are a hymn to the abundance of life, to play, to cyclical time, but above all to the uniqueness of every being, like so many divine sparks, each with its own colour. Alongside painting, Giulia teaches storytelling for immersive technologies applied to tourism, art and cultural heritage, and co-authored the destination management handbook Destinazioni Slow.
For her every journey crosses two landscapes: the one that opens before your eyes, among hills and villages, and the one you discover within, among inner colours and forms. This is where her creative studio ARTourism comes from, built on the idea that creativity regenerates spaces, territories and the people who pass through them.
Like so many divine sparks, each with its own form, its own colour.
And what is colour, if not Light?
